Sunny Side Up!
Based on my mother’s childhood, “Sunny Side Up!” tells the story of the youngest daughter named Hatchie whose dream has become to have an egg as her family financially struggles due to her father’s absence in 1960s in South Korea. Through Hatchie’s journey, readers are invited to join this little girl’s challenges and her growing up with a heartwarming message of family and self-worth. This project encapsulates my ability to create engaging narratives, develop relatable characters, and produce sequential illustrations effectively telling the story, representing my passion for picture books and commitment to creating stories that resonate with young readers.
